Let’s take action. Following a five-step process, let’s consciously apply the seven keys:

Identify what changes.

To do this, we will start with a diagnosis, the seven’s innovation keys diagnosis, that will help you discover how you innovate and identify priority areas for action. And to go further, let’s add a brainstorming session to the diagnosis, identifying internal and external changes. Identify Internal/External changes.

And if you want, you can go even further by looking for more innovation ideas; you can perform an analysis of your present versus future business model.

Define your innovation leitmotifs.

Based on everything discovered, perceived, and noted down, it’s time to focus. It is time to set the innovation leitmotifs to follow. The company leader must define them and build consensus around them. Five tricks to definer your challanges and leitmotiv

Identify your list of potential innovations.

Don't innovate alone; expand your capacity to innovate.

We don’t have to be limited to the company’s own members to innovate. We can open up. To do this, from your list of projects, identify those that could be developed with external teams. Search in your latent innovation network (create it if you don’t have it yet)

Define your innovation portfolio; lead its development.

You will need to prioritize the execution of all the identified ideas. To do this, select which ones to develop based on your challenges, structure them into innovation projects, and rank them by priority. In this way, you will have created a plan, your company’s innovation portfolio.

By managing this portfolio, you will lead the innovation within your organization. Lead successfully by practicing the five roles of innovation leader. And, as projects come to an end, iterate through this five-step process again.
